Fuel cell products are now commercially available to the public! Fuel cells are a key technology for the 21st century due to their inherent advantages such as high efficiency and environmental friendliness. The great advantage of the Smart Fuel Cell A25 is the extremely high energy output of the system. It delivers up to 50 Ah per day (600 Wh per day) and is suitable for various mobile, stationary and portable applications.

The SFC A25 is safe, efficient and clean. It offers a huge weight reduction to lead acid batteries, is more reliable than solar panels and is silent and has lower emissions than generators. Industrial and private customers are successfully using the SFC A25 as stand-alone system or in combination with conventional technologies.

SFC has optimized their system for use in recreational vehicles (RV`s) together with Hymer, the leading manufacturer in this market. Both companies demonstrate on the trade show how easy the fuel cell system can be installed in an RV and provide electricity to the board grid which powers a refrigerator, TV, lights or other devices. The fuel cell system SFC A25 reliably provides 50 Ah per day which covers the typical electricity demand of RV`s and sailing yachts - in summer and in winter. With a single fuel cartridge of 2.5 litres liquid methanol the SFC A25 runs for 70 to 80 hours at full power. A cartridge has a weight of just 2.2 kilogramms. Traditional lead acid batteries of similar capacity weigh about 50 kilograms. Saving weight on an RV is important in order to keep the vehicle's gross weight within the permissible limits. The light-weight fuel cartridges of SFC enable other devices to be loaded onto the vehicle, such as a motorcycle.

The compact, lightweight, silent, and high-capacity SFC system is an extremely attractive power supply in the leisure market. Traditionally, owners and users of RV`s have used solutions such as large batteries coupled to generators or photovoltaic systems. These conventional solutions easily cost several thousand Euro. Yet they have severe drawbacks such as limited reliability (solar cells) or high noise emissions and pollution (generators). The SFC A25 is very robust, safe, and reliable.

In addition to RV`s and caravans, the SFC system serves as a perfect power supply in many other markets. Among these are sailing boats or remotely operated devices such as sensors or data transmission equipment.
