The M295 Equipment Decontamination Kit employs the sorptive resin technology of the older M291 kit. Ideal for vehicle and shelter decon, this kit contains four individual wipe-down mitts, each enclosed in a soft, protective packet. Packet is design to fit comfortably within a pocket of the battle dress over-garment. Used to decontaminate chemical-biological protective mask/hood, gloves, footwear, weapons, helmet, and load bearing equipment. Reduces the amount of agent a soldier touches and minimizes the agent penetration into surfaces of individual equipment. Each wipe-down mitt is comprised of absorbent resin contained with a non-woven polyester pad material and a polyethylene film backing. Resin from the mitt is allowed to flow freely through the non-woven polyester pad.
